T’ai Chi Chih Classes at Alta Vista GardensJoanne_Thomas_2009_004

imagesUnlike ancient forms,T’ai Chi Chih, is easy and relaxing to do. It seems to be what this tense and busy world needs.  Most students feel the effects of the practice very quickly!  That was Joanne’s experience, back in the Nineties, in a weekend workshop.  She never forgot the feeling that “This practice is good for my health.”

T’ai Chi Chih’s focus is on the development and balancing of energy, called Chi.  The originator, Justin Stone, says  “It  is a moving meditation, with far-reaching benefits.  The slow, soft movements have a real effect on blood pressure, weight control and other physical aspects…”

Joanne was Accredited as a Teacher in May 2009.  She has taught classes at the Brengle Terrace Senior Center, Yoga Vista Studio and at her church.  In this  October 9th  Presentation Joanne will introduce you to  7 movements which demonstrate “How to Move” for the greatest benefits.  Audience participation is welcome and expected!

There will be a free demonstration class at AVG on October 9th at the Fall Fun Festival. Come join her on the rear lawn at 11:00 am

A 5-week class program to be held on Thursdays at 11:00AM to Noon, for a fee of $50.00 for the program will be announced soon.
